To serve the people of the area in most need, with a special focus on the poor, elderly, and handicapped to provide them with good, clean, and safe housing.
To create an atmosphere of Christian discipleship and evangelization.
How it started
Since 2004, Mike Tober has been leading mission trips to Southern Mississippi with local youth from the Grand Rapids Diocese.
It has transformed lives. The lives of homeowners living in difficult living conditions and the lives of volunteers encountering the face of Christ in the poor.
In 2021 on a trip with Jim Klaes, Mike and Jim started talking about the need to do more. While many lives had been transformed, there was just too many people in need who just couldn't be helped on a seven day mission.
Joesph's Builders was formed to address those people whose needs just simply could not be met in a week.
What we're doing
Joesph's Builders is committed to building and renovating homes that support the dignity of the people who live in them. These modest, well-equipped homes will support individuals in the area who are currently living in difficult situations.
In 2025, we will be starting with renovations and plan to build new homes in the future.
